BWU HOSTS PREMIER T20 TOURNAMENT THIS WEEKEND
All 8 Premier sides are at Burnside Oval this Saturday and Sunday, playing in the Premier T20 tournament. Come along and have a look!

MOST SENIOR TEAMS WELL PLACED ON TABLES
The Premiers now have a break from the one day competition as they take part in the Show Weekend T20 competition. As well, it is about half-way through the pre-Christmas part of the season. So, let’s have a look at how our senior teams are placed on their respective tables. We’ll see that there is lots of good news:

Premiers (one day) – 7th of 10
2As (one day) – 3rd of 8, with semi-final spot secured
2Bs (one day) – 3rd of 8 and strong contenders for semi-final
3B Brawlers – 2nd of 13
3B Cannons – 1st of 13
3B Mariners – 4th of 13
Presidents Foxes – 1st equal of 11

HONOURS BOARD FOR JOSH PAUL, DOMINIC CORNISH, RILEY GOAD, SCOTT PAULIN, SAM NOSTER, ALEX REESE, JAGNESH MAKWANA AND JEFF ROY
Eight players are on the Board this week, with Josh Paul making it for the second week in a row. Read about their achievements here.

WINS AGAIN FOR MOST TEAMS
Again it was a winning weekend for all teams except one (this time the 2Bs). The Premiers beat OBC by 52 runs and are still in with a chance of a semi-finals spot. The 2As (160/9) had another nerve-wracking win, by one wicket over Sydenham (156). Man of the match was Adam Gillett (44* and 2 wickets), particularly for lifting the chase out of the mire (35/5 at one stage) and for being there at the end. The 2Bs came second in a low scoring encounter with Sydenham (97 v 56). There were comfortable wins to the 3B Brawlers (105/6) over Sumner (77), and the 3B Cannons (102/4) over Sydenham Goats (98/6). The 3B Mariners had a bye. The Presidents Foxes, with Jeff Roy (69) starring with the bat and worrying the neighbours’ roof from the middle of no.4. The Junior Premiers had a massive win over (220 v 50) over Halswell. Read the match report here and also the reports for the Year 7 Junior Premiers, and junior team BWU4.

JUNIORS DO WELL AGAIN AT CJCA TOURNAMENT
Sunday was another day where a number of the BWU Juniors did very well at the CJCA zones tournament. Dominic Cornish scored 30 runs to help his team over the line chasing 129 to win. He then backed this up with 2/11, supported by Louie Chapman bowling 5 overs for 6 runs. In the other game Tom Dunlop and Ryan James opened the batting and put on an excellent partnership with Tom finishing on 54 and Ryan retired on 46. However they were not supported by their team mates and their final score of 137 was not enough. Mitchell Hay in the other team chimed in at the end with a quick fire 22 to knock off the winning runs.
