Saturday Morning junior got underway last Saturday and we would like to congratulate the BWU9 Girls team on their first game together and win. Well Done to everyone involved!

Premier Men need another 3 wickets for a first innings against LPW at Burnside Oval on Saturday, this game is in an interesting position as LPW might throw caution to the wind and make it at an interesting affair. No rest for the senior sides in the club at they have the first 1 day competition match on Labour day Monday the 26th, you are more that welcome to come down and watch. The Premier side last week arranged to have a shared lunches with partners, wives and mum’s which was appreciate by all involved.

Appointment of New Chairman

Following the retirement of Paul O’Flaherty as Chairman of the Club, Greg Belton-Brown has recently been appointed Chairman.  Greg has been a member of the 2B team since 2013 and served on the Committee as legal advisor on the Club Committee since early 2014.  Outside of cricket, Greg works as a solicitor at Lane Neave.

Honours Board and Al Brown MVP

Landon Neale has leaped from 5th on Al Brown to 1st after smashing 93, taking his runs to 176 for the season at 58.67, a link to the MVP points is on the Al Brown section of the website, while the Honours Board has been update to reflect the first three weeks of play and congratulations to all those who have made it onto the board. Brawlers are currently joint leaders of the 3b competition.

This week’s spotlight falls on the surveying firm of Fox and Associates who are involved in creating legacies with land, through urban design, land development, planning and surveying. David Fox has been involved with the club for over 40 years and support the President’s side as well as the club.
