Are we all ready to see Pink Ball day / night test cricket, not sure what everyone’s thoughts are on this change butlet’s get behind the Black Caps this weekend!

Just are reminder to make sure you have got plenty of sunscreen and if you have forgotten to bring some just ask and it will be happily shared around.

Coco-Cola Christmas in the Park is happening this Saturday night where you will able to see Nyree Huyser starring in the show….Nyree is married to Premier player Carl and we wish her all the best for this years performance –  Further information is available here

Junior Cricket

Well done to Joey Hull opening the batting for BWU9 against St. Albans managed to get 30* retired in just 29 balls opening the batting – in fact the top four batsmen for the team all retired against a good St. Albans attack, unfortunately 154/3 wasn’t enought to stop St. Albans who got the target 5 down.

BWU2 had a really good win over St. Andrews with Samual Lawry 4/3 off 4 overs and Oliver Smith 3/10 off 4 overs restricting St. Andrews. Great Bowling spell there guys!

Keep posting those awesome pictures up on the club facebook page as well!

Senior Cricket

A wicked spell of bowling from Matt Farrant and Anthony How had the Premier Team restrict St. Albans to 182 (a good recovery from 113/8 so credit St. Alban’s there). The target that looked achievable at 108/3 saw the wheels fall off and being all out for 153.

The performance of the weekend goes to David O’Brien who got 6/14 off 6 overs as Brawlers continue their winning ways.

President’s Grade had a bye, but the Grade day hosted at St. Albans was a great success with two the President’s sides getting to play on Hagley Oval which will have several club fixtures a season on it. A real treat as Mark Harding would say.

Carl Huyser

Carl Huyser, Premier Men opening batsman who will need another 100 to beat his wife Nyree’s performance on Saturday.

Honours Board and Al Brown MVP

Did we mention David O’Brien get 6 wickets, this takes him to top of the points table, pushing Blake into second and Matt Farrant whose 4 wicket hall take to third. Deon did everyone a favour in getting a duck.

The honours board has been update with all the performances that were on Cricket HQ, if you know if any others just email them in!

Enjoy your cricket and have a great weekend!
