What a week of wet weather it has been, pretty much a wash out for the National Police Tournament that was being hosted at Burnside Park, with a lot of time and effort going to organising this from David Robertson.

The grounds are still very wet and Christchurch Metro Cricket have doing ground inspections yesterday and today, so keep a look out on their website or facebook for any cancellations.

A reminder to all players, supporters and administrators that there will be no club or youth cricket on February 20 due to this being the first day of the Black Caps v Australia test match at Hagley Oval.

Premier Men, Senior A, 2A and 2B will complete a double header on 13/14 February in lieu of not playing on the 20th.

A dissappointed Premier Team leave the field after their last over loss against St. Albans

The Premier Men really did the club proud in getting into close positions and ended 3rd on the table in the 20/20 competition, tied with 2 other teams on 18. With only the top 2 sides going through to the final it was a must win match against St. Albans in the last match of the day, but we couldn’t quick get across the line with 12 needed off the final over.  Well batted to Sam Noster 48 off 28 balls and Micah Campbell 25. It was a sad end to a day that saw the team defend 90 against Sydenham who were all out for 70 in the morning fixture.

Jared Croft for Presidents Foxes earns his spot on the honours board with 60 against St. Albans, and Brad Reid in the Ghetto Hustlers monstered 58 against Southern Districts in their encounter. Please let me know if there any other additions to the Honours board that can be viewed here: Honours Board
