August Newsletter 2016

Preparations are underway for the start of the new season with registration now open and booking in dates for Pre-season training. The final rouches are being done on the Annual Report and the notices will be going out shortly to finalise details for the AGM.

The club would like to take this opportunity to thank Sam Noster for his 9 years service at the club, last yeat as Premier Mens captain. Sam is moving up Wellington and we are sure you will join us in wishing him every success.

Junior Cricket Registrations

If you are looking to play either Friday night or Saturday morning cricket at BWCUCC you can visit the link below with all the details including the registration form. Registration days are September 3rd, 10th, 17th, and 24th at Burnside CC 10am to midday.

We would to confirm the appointment of Premier Men’s coach Craig Kerr who has been appointed by the club. There is plenty of opportunity for morning grade cricket as Christchurch Metro Cricket have made some changes to 2nd Grade and the T20 competition. BWCUCC will have Premier’s Men’s, 2nd Grade and a side in the new 2c competition. In addition to this we have a great selection of afternoon grade sides so for more information please click on the link below for contact information and registration forms

We have recieved notice that our Treasurer Mitchell Croft is not standing for re-appointment at the next AGM. He is heading off to the UK and we would to thank Mitch for all the work he done at the club both as player and as adminstrator.

If anyone i the club is interested in volunteering and becoming involved in the club please get in touch!

Work is in progress to have the deck refurbished in September and to be completed by the start of the season. We have not been able to complete our fundraising for the re-surfacing of the artficial nets at present but we are working on this re-submitting applications and talking to potential sponsor’s. We recieved a lot of calls of support from our last newsletter and will be following those up as well.
