Greg Belton-Brown

Our Chairman Greg Belton-Brown recently advised the committee of his intention to step down from the position of chair, and is taking the opportunity to travel overseas. Greg has been working very hard with the club on the Strategic Plan development as well on tackling a number of  issues in his time on the committee. We want to take this opportunity to thank him for all his work, and wish him well on his travels.

At the committee meeting held on the 26th of June 2017 we formally accepted Greg’s resignation and David Robertson has stepped up to be acting chairman of the club until the AGM. Dave has a very active role in the club & committee and we also want to thank him for stepping up to the position.

Paul O’Brien appointed a Premier Men’s coach

paul o'brien

The club is pleased to confirm the appointment of Paul O’Brien to the position of Premier Men’s coach for the coming season, Paul has met with the senior player group and has just headed off the UK for couple of weeks. If you have any interest in playing premier cricket for one of the senior teams please email the club and we can pass your details on.

Volunteers and Helpers needed

Our club is looking to make use of the fantastic outlook we have at Burnside Park and we are on the constant look out for volunteers and helpers who are able to support the community, cricket, and the club. We are looking for administrators, coordinators and volunteers who like seeing the enjoyment that our summer sport brings to our junior and senior players; please get in touch to find out more about volunteering or helping in the clubrooms.

New Husqvarna Ride on Mower

Peter Burke has managed to secure funding for a new ride on mower which will be fantastic as our old one was sadly beyond repair. The new model will ready for the spring growth and we hope we can really get those areas around the club and practice nets under control. If anyone is interesting in putting in mowing or rolling time let us know.

Thank to Martyn’s outdoor power equipment store for helping with the purchasing and keeping our reel mowers serviced and sharpened. http://www.martyns.co.nz/
