Thanks to all the players and coaches for another fun summer, and special thanks to Shane Young for all your hard work coordinating this year’s Junior Cricket programme. Make sure you come along to receive your certificate! In the event of rain, presentations will happen in the pavilion at 6pm. Keep an eye on Facebook for any changes to this plan.

Remember – MVP points in CricHQ determine the winner of the Al Brown trophy. So get your scorecards in, make sure they are complete, and make sure all players details are captured. You get points for runs, wickets, maidens, catches, stumpings, run outs etc. The more detail you capture in your scorecards, the more points you stand to gain – especially remember to record your catches, and try to convince your opponents to fully utilize CricHQ too…

Avonhead Tavern Player of the Day Awards
Reminder – all teams that return to the pavilion (both Junior and Senior teams) are eligible to nominate a player of the day award.
Our club sponsors at One Good Horse Restaurant and The Avonhead Tavern have kindly provided the club with these Player of the Days awards. It is fantastic to have great supporters of club cricket and being local we hope you take up the opportunity to spend some time at the club house as well as making use of the prizes.
Burnside Merchandise
We are delighted to advise that official Burnside Merchandise is now available to purchase online direct from our sponsor Cricket Express. The team at Cricket Express have updated their website, and you can now order Burnside training gear and clothing online and just in time for Christmas! More items will be added after Christmas, but for now, check out the selection and show your club pride with some awesome BWCUCC kit!
On this day (literally)

Literally on this day (22nd March 2018), New Zealand’s Trent Boult ripped through England’s top-order to dismiss the visitors for just 58 runs in 20.4 overs in the opening session of the day-night first Test at Eden Park. It was the tourists’ sixth-lowest Test innings total in history. How good is pink-ball? I’m done, and am now going to watch the last few balls of the final session.
