119th Annual General Meeting

The 119th Annual General Meeting was held at the clubrooms on the 19th September 2024 at 6.3pm and was attended by of 30 club members including life members and former Presidents of the club. (thank you to all the Premier Men’s who attend this prior to their training).

Peter Hay who chaired the meeting spoke of how proud was players from the club who on the very day were representing NZ in teams overseas including Tom Latham, Will O’Rourke, Izzy Sharp, Gail Hotton, Hannah Wallace and Matthew Everest.

Peter thanked the work for Will O’Brien who was stepping down this season, and introduced Adam Winter who as taking up this postion.

Treasurer, Scott Inglis, spoke of the need to continued tight spending control as clubs funds were tight and that subscriptions were 21% of the clubs income. The motion to agree the new subscription level was passed and this was to keep up with costs.

There was a constitutional change from the club requiring an ‘Audit’ to be completed and this was to change to a “review”. Scott explained the differences and had sought out the advise of Doug Allcock from Nexia. Cam Eathorne explained the costs differences for the different services. The motion was carried. The following executive positions were confirmed at the meeting – with all the officers re-elected unopposed.

Patron – Grant Dickson, Chairman – Peter Hay, Secretary – Gareth Gibson, Treasurer – Scott Inglis

The meeting was closed and discussed turned to the coming season which is 16 days from starting
