About

Burnside West Christchurch University Cricket Club is a proud cricket club with a rich history. The original club was formed in 1905, and has been a home for many successful Canterbury and New Zealand cricketers. Burnside prides itself on its strong club atmosphere, and provides opportunities for all cricketers.

The club has its own home ground and pavilion — Burnside Oval —located between Memorial Avenue and Avonhead Road in the heart of Burnside. The home ground has four senior blocks, three junior pitches, an artificial match pitch, a practice block with removable netting, and three artificial practice wickets. The club turf manager maintains each block.
