Help Arun finish strong for Raam!

Sadly, Arun Kumar has announced that he is stepping aside from his Premiers scoring duties this summer. But do not fear, his younger brother Raam will soon be picking up the mantle.

Arun took over scoring duties from life-member Tony Feely, and has help guide the club into the digital era, riding the CricHQ wave and live scoring Premier matches for the last couple of seasons.

Arun has decided to step down to focus his energy on ways that he can better provide financial support to his family. As an overseas student, Raam Kumar’s tuition fees are very high ($40K), and unfortunately he has been unable to secure funding to lower his tuition costs.  So while Raam scores the Premier games this year, Arun will be keeping very busy. He will focussing his energy on finishing his PhD and finding full-time  employment.

Arun has also been looking at other ways of generating some money to cover his brother’s tuition costs… which brings us to Arun’s fundraising idea…

Arun runs the Mud Sweat and Tears

Arun has decided to run the Queenstown full marathon in November to raise funds towards Raam’s education. Arun has never run any great distances before, but is determined that the cause he is fighting for will help motivate him for the full 42.2 km!
