2025 Year 8 Leavers

The club farewelled 24 players who are all Year 8s from three of Burnside CJCA teams last Saturday which was the final day of CJCA cricket for 2025. For some of these junior players they started with us in Year 1 at KVS Friday night cricket and now they have officially finished as club juniors as they are off to secondary school were we wish them every success.

We welcomed the players back the club after their team matches were they enjoyed a sausage sizzle, short prizegiving and were presented with leavers shirts which they all signed by junior convenor Shane Young

The club is grateful for our junior section volunteers including coaches Ant Paris, Mark Stevenson and Simon Owers. Simon and Mark were brave enough to volunteer for their first time in charge – thanks so much for putting your hand up. All the teams had parents involved in scoring, managing and organising. Many hands make light work.

A big thanks to Chris and Erin Bond for their support of junior cricket over the last 10 years, always prepared to volunteer, take photos and jump in and help out.
