Winter sport is well and truly underway, and during the last few weeks Dave Robertson has been able to co-ordinate with Readylawn and complete the Autumn renovations to all four blocks and the grass practice block.
We would not be able to complete this very important work with your the grants received from Kiwi Gaming Foundation and Christchurch Metro Cricket Association.

The work consisted of mowing the turf, using the Peruzzo scarifyer with collector bin, dethatch the 1,2,3 and 4 blocks and practice wickets with 3-4 passes and remove organic spoil then top dressing with the difficult to source ‘Heathcote’ wicket clay and seeding. Dave will be watering regularly and with the help of the weather we are all hoping the seed strikes before the colder weather arrives.
CMCA operations manager Tim Murdoch has provided our grounds feedback to the CCC, including around the artificial net run area which has been really improvement, and we will follow this up with a meeting at the grounds.
A big thank to Roger and everyone at http://www.readylawn.co.nz
