How good did Hagley Oval look the 2nd Test against Australia! Plenty of members were in attendance to see the final test for Brendon McCullum and we were priviliged to see his record test ton in the first innings, it was something special.
You may have noticed at Hagley Oval the Canterbury Cricket Umpires Association Pavilion looking superb after the refurbishment for the World Cup, this Pavillion was the home of the West Christchurch Cricket Club from 1905 until the move to Burnside – you can read more about the history of the pavilion here CRCUA website
Cricket is back on for this week and you can check out the Draw for this weekend
Club Day this Saturday 27th of February
There are lot of Saturday junior teams playing at Burnside Park and surrounds this Saturday and we hope you can come back to the club after your matches, get stuck into the Sausage Sizzle, watch the Premier Men who are playing at home and tell us all about the test, if you were lucky enough to get there!
As I mentioned last week, it will also give some of the members who played with Andrew Hintz a chance to have a bit of yarn about Andrew during the Premier team at their Lunch interval and during the afternoon.
Andrew Hintz Memorial Game – Sunday 20th of March

Paul Black – Dream DJ job
Many of you may have seen Paul Black mixing the decks and singing in local bars and restaurants such as the Little Brown Jug, Harewood Tavern and The Rose and Thistle – well this week he landed a top job with New Zealand and Australian Cricket team after party. To say Blackie was pretty excited would be an understatement. Here are a couple of pictures to give you taste and if you need to book any entertainment you can get hold of Paul Black on his facebook page https://www.facebook.com/blackies.entertainment/
